Kari Lake After Lawsuit Hearing: ‘We Will Expose This Election For The Sham It Was’

Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake issued a statement on Tuesday night following the first hearing in response to her legal team’s election lawsuit against Democrat Secretary of State Katie Hobbs.

“Today’s hearing regarding my lawsuit was telling. The Judge noted the volume of evidence my team compiled. The defendants’ team seemed desperate to sweep it under the rug,” Lake wrote.

“I am thankful to Judge Peter Thompson and his team for the work they do and we are confident that given the opportunity, we will expose this election for the sham it was,” the conservative firebrand added.

Lake’s lawsuit features a plethora of damning revelations about the gubernatorial contest, including the charge that hundreds of thousands of illegal ballots were reportedly cast in the race — far exceeding Hobbs purported 17,000 vote margin of “victory,” Freedom Talk reported this week.

“The number of illegal votes cast in Arizona’s general election on November 8, 2022, far exceeds the 17,117 vote margin between Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake and Democrat gubernatorial candidate Secretary of State Katie Hobbs,” the summary of the lawsuit reads.

“Witnesses who were present at the Maricopa County Tabulation and Election Center (‘MCTEC’), Runbeck Election Services (‘Runbeck’), and a multitude of Maricopa County vote centers, as well as other facts meticulously gathered, shows hundreds of thousands of illegal ballots infected the election in Maricopa County.”

Lake has previously asserted her belief that Democrats exploited the COVID-19 pandemic to usher in drastic changes to state election laws across the country, which allowed Democrats to “rig” the 2020 election to “take down” 45th President Donald Trump.

Subsequently, these unconstitutional changes to election laws preceded unrestricted and widespread mail-in ballot harvesting. Combined with suspiciously convenient statewide technical issues on Election Day, an estimated 15,603 to 29,257 Republican voters are believed to have been disenfranchised in Arizona’s 2022 general election.

“It was all there to really destroy a president, bring down President Trump, and lead to the issues that led to the 2020 rigged election. Nothing was done about it. Very little was done to fix any of the problems that we saw in 2020, and now we get 2022 and it’s even worse. It’s all of the same stuff they pulled in 2020 and then they went above and beyond on that,” Lake explained to conservative “War Room” host Steve Bannon.

Among these issues included the revelation that more than half of all 223 voting centers across Arizona’s most densely populated county of Maricopa had experienced widespread failures on Election Day to the tune of 59 percent.

“Let’s face it, election laws and election rules are not optional. They’re not like ‘well, follow these if you want.’ They’re mandatory and they’re put there for a reason. Especially as all of these states and counties push toward mail-in ballots,” Lake added.

“Signature verification and chain of custody are our only security to make sure that we are having legal votes counted. We believe that there were hundreds of thousands of illegal votes counted and we believe our lawsuit proves it.”
